Push International works with you and your Fieldwork Coordinator or Curriculum Supervisor to create a customized week for your therapy team.  Occupational Therapy Schools have sent multiple teams to Mexico with us for International Service Learning opportunities. Students have received Feildwork 1, Masters Level University credit, for their experiences with us.

The week will include hands-on therapy packed activities to help you connect lecture content with real, practical experiences. We will tailor the week’s activities to meet the needs, interest areas, specialty areas and/or curriculum requirements of your team.  7 and 10 day trips are available. If you have a team of 10 or more students who are interested in participating in an International Service Learning opportunity with Push International during dates that are not listed on the calendar on the right, please contact Bree Milani at  We will work with you to design a wonderful week for you and your team.

Push International Therapy Student volunteer application
Applications are due no later than 16 weeks prior to the departure date.

Reservation deposit – A $750.00 non-refundable reservation deposit is due no later than 12 weeks prior to departure date. This deposit is applied toward the volunteer’s total package fees.

Package fees must be paid in full no later than 6 weeks prior to the departure date.


 Therapy Team Rates

As of January 2016:
Packages start as low as $2,250 (all inclusive) for a 7 day cross-cultural therapy experience in Mazatlan, Mexico. Ten day trips are also available, please contact us for a quote. The team may also participate in 7 or 10 day experiences in Puerta Vallarta with packages starting as low as $2,650.00.

Our base rate package includes a customized cross-cultural therapy experience, airfare to and from Mazatlan, in-country housing, transportation, meals, translators when applicable, pre-event coordination, post-event follow up, international health insurance policy, transportation of wheelchairs and mobility equipment from the USA to Mexico, purchase of therapy supplies and in-country staff-support.

*Package rates will vary based on team size, where the team is flying from, length of the trip, time of year, if the trip is approved by a University as a Fieldwork site, if the team must be supervised by 1 or more OTRs and which activities the team would like to include in their customized week. Minimum team size is 10 volunteers. Please contact us with any questions.

Push International will make all travel arrangements for your team. – Some rate exceptions may be made at team leader’s discretion.

 What is it like?

Push International  offers unique opportunities for therapy students, therapists, volunteers and families to engage in hands-on, cross-cultural experiences in Mexico. Where will you be staying?

Push International shares a secure campus in Mazatlan, Mexico with Padres y Compadres. You will be staying in our onsite dormitories with other volunteer team members in a “camp style” bunk bed arrangement. Dormitories have air conditioning and bathroom/shower facilities.
