I started working in the disabled community in 2001 and have been actively working ever since. Most of my background comes from volunteering with the University of Arizona's wheelchair sports program. I have had the opportunity to work with people with disabilities in Afghanistan, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and all over Mexico. I enjoy working with people who have been recently injured to help them regain independence in their daily life. I finished up my master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2009 at the University of Puget Sound. I hope to use what I have learned to positively impact the sustainable services that we provide to people with disabilities in need.
When I am not working in Mexico, I work for Push International in public relations, marketing, fundraising, speaking engagements and volunteer recruitment.
